Rav Yisrael Abuchatzeira, the Baba Sali, was one of our greatest Torah leaders in recent times. He was a tremendous talmid chacham, and his piety and holiness were well-known, even among the non-Jews of his country. Many wondrous miracles were performed through him. As the beloved head of Moroccan Jewry, both in North Africa and later in Eretz Yisrael, Baba Sali taught by example how important it is to live a life of purity, always guarding one's eyes and speech.
